The children at Capel Pre School were over the moon with the bird feeders and all the food donated by the charity. Pre School supervisor, Zita says “They love the responsibility of filling the feeders. It has encouraged so many birds into our small outside area. With the help of the poster and bird books the children are now beginning to be able to identify the birds. You will often see them using the binoculars to watch the birds further away. The birds will come into the play area even when the children are outside, often flying very close to us, and you hear adults and children talking about the breed and what birds they have in their own gardens. Parents have been encouraged to donate bird food to help keep the feeders topped up and have been supportive with this. The children are all bird mad now and as an activity, they have made birds nests”
The Pre School staff have thanked the charity for supporting them to help encourage the children’s enjoyment of wildlife.
