There was a fantastic turnout of supporters at the Quiz Night, Picnic, Pizza and Prize Giving on 10th January. Thank you to the nearly 120 of you who braved one of the coldest nights of the year and joined in the fun. We raised an amazing £1100 for the charity – thank you!
Short presentations were given by Hugh Patterson (representing Capel Parish Council and TW Borough Council), Stewart Gledhill on behalf of Save Capel and CGPS Chairman Dave Parrish.
The winners of the 2024 photography competition were presented with their prizes by Nick Gandon of Mr Ames Tea who sponsored the competition.
1st Prize of £300 was awarded to Annie Yapp, 2nd Prize of £150 was awarded to William Malpas and 3rd Prize of £50 was awarded to Robin Hollamby.
The seven round quiz then got underway with a break for pizza deliveries, picnics, heads and tails game and a raffle half way through. The quiz was a close-run thing right to the last round and was won by a very small margin by The Donkey Wallopers – well done to the winning team!
The Trustees would like to thank all the local businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes. Also those who helped on the night, in the preparation for the event, those who baked all the delicious cakes, and those who provided screens and the PA equipment.
